Dump the antenna. I live on the ranch just south of Victoria and am 20 mi from the station. Take a drywall screw and put it into the corner of the wall near the tv. Take the other end of the coaxial and stick it onto the screw just so that it doesn't fall off. Hang a hat over the screw so that it isn't an eyesore.
It works. I get all my channels. I found this out by accident.
If you have a cable system hook-up, in the menu setup there is a selection for type of TV signal, select cable and then select the auto channel tune feature.
just press your setup button untill the red light stays on then hit TV or what ever your trying to program then keep clicking channel up until the channel changes and once it changes hit enter or setup button
When you say the remote doesn't get the channels I have to assume the channel entry behavior changed. I am not to familiar with this brand but these are the basics for most tv's. If you have not removed the cable input to the tv or unhooked anything before the problem started here are a few thing you could try. Push the menu or setup button on the remote and under the channel or setup option on the tv make sure it is set to Cable and not Air or Antenna. Run the tv through the auto channel search to reprogram the cable channels. This process can take close to 1 hour on some tv's since it has to scan through the digital and analogue tuners. This will allow your tv to add the correct cable channels and remove the unwanted ones. You should be able to enter the channel number or move up and down with the channel buttons on your remote.
For channel setup you will need to;
1) Connect the signal source to the back of the set.(Antenna or Cable) 2) Go into the TV Menu and select the same signal source you connected to the back.(Antenna or Cable)
3) Go to the auto program/scan menu and run it. This may take a few minutes.
