Sounds like a power pack issue. Might be the switch mode transistor not working correctly. Either try repairing it or take it to a local tv repair centre

The on timer is most likely set resetting factory defaults will not deactivate the timer that has to be done manually

Try this :

simultaneously press "DISPLAY" button on remote handset and Volume- button on the front
panel of television receiver for 6 to 8 seconds to get the various service menus.

• To access any parameter , use Up/Dn keys of Program/Channel
• To change value of any Parameter, use +/- keys of Volume
• To exit POWER switch off the set

The first problem was always standby mode.... get back the original eprom IC 24CO8WP in to the PCB, then find the original remote control of you TCL Tv tcl-14175 then you power On In the Remote control while your TV is in Standby mode! then you see your tv is going ON... Because your unit is in Child lock Mode....
