My gateway laptop won't startup. It's taking me to a Insydeh20 utility screen

If unable to boot follow the below steps:
-Remove the battery and Power adapter
-Press and hold the power button for 30-45 seconds (with battery and power still removed)
-Insert just the battery and attempt to boot the laptop.
-Insert just the power adapter and attempt to boot the laptop

This may work I have not tested this as I have not got a gateway laptop

My gateway laptop N214 will not turn on. The orange light at the bottom of the screen flashes but it will not turn on.

Unplug the power cord. Remove the battery and hold the power button for 30 to 60 seconds. Re-connect the power and attempt a boot. Shut down, put the battery back in and you're good to go. This advice was on another site, but helped me with a computer startup issue once

Seems to be a problem of not enough power.

First check the voltage output of the charger(adapter) and match it with its specs.

Also try to reset the hardware using the following steps:

1 Disconnect battery and the charger
2 Let it sit for 1-2 minutes.
3 Press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds.
4 Reconnect battery and charger and try to start by pressing the power button.

Booting up problem on gateway laptop

If you have a Windows XP/Vista/Vista64/7 Disc, have your Laptop boot from it, This will require a re instillation of Windows, but will fix your laptop right up, and if you don't have one, they are cheaper than laptops and will save you money. Plus, they can be reused on the same computer.

Gatweway lap top button light up, but wont turn on

I'm afraid this sounds suspiciously like a motherboard problem. It would help to know what model etc, as some Gateway & EMachine model laptops have had extended warranties due to motherboard issues, or just go to Gateway.com and research it yourself.

Gateway 6750 not powering up. I have a good power

If it sounds like it is turning on for about a second and lights up then it might be the motherboard. Also the screen will stay black, but the lights will turn on.

Booting

Has the fan been replaced? If not then the laptop will power itself off to protect from overheating. The fan is like a switch in the loop. Like old Xmas lights. One not working then none will work.

Gateway MX6931 won't boot

Have you tried a new battery pack for your laptop? Try removing the battery pack and then running it.

I have seen this symptom on other brands of laptop.

It may require a new battery pack.
