Method 1:
1 - Switch ON your Samsung Galaxy Discover with a NOT ACCEPTED SIM Card.

I would factory reset it, unless it's always the same app that is causing the hang, then simply remove the offending app.

It sounds like the device is completely broken after dropping it. You may find a local repair shop or a shop online to fix the device, but it may be cheaper to replace it with a new one.
