What does 1F mean
IF (not 1F) is Lockout
Ignition lock out, means that the heater had three separate attempts to fire up, to have ignition. After three attempts, with no ignition of main burners, you will get the fault code. You clear this by cycling the power off and then back on. You may need to do this 2 or 3 times. Some times air is in the main gas supply line?
Or, Because we are human, we tend to make mistakes, and may overlook the obvious... is the gas valve in the on position? , and is the gas shut off valve on the supply line, open?
if the obvious is all good, then continue with your troubleshooting, next up would be to check the hot surface igniter. or plugged orifice. Especially the most Left one - closest to igniter.
The code you are referring to is actually IF, not 1F. It stands for ignition failure.
If the control exceeds the maximum number of ignition retries or recycles the heater will shut down and go into lockout. Automatic reset is 60 minutes.

Is the heater installed indoors?? if so you'll need a vent pressure orifice kit.
if not check your water press. (below 18 PSI on filter) Place filter on "recir" if it fires and stays on . it's the pressure.
check to see if all connections a set tight hi-ltd switch wire harness etc.

BO means that you have bypassed operations. ie automation. if no automation is present then press and hold the Down arrow and Mode button for 3 seconds.
SOURCE: Pool Heater with communication (CE) Error
Code "CE" stands for communication error and describes a fault between the mother board and the display. I doubt it's the relay causing it though...
SOURCE: CE error code on hayward pool heater
CE= Communication Error between Control Module
and Display Interface Assembly
1. Disconnect and then reconnect power to heater.
2. Check for faulty wiring or connection.
Inspect Display Interface Wiring. Ensure Display Interface Plug is securely attached to Control Module. .
3. Control Module and/or Display Interface Assembly
are defective.Replace Control Module and/or Display Interface Assembly.

SOURCE: Our Hayward gas heater keeps giving us a H5 error
Could the Error code be HS? That is high temperature limit. Perhaps you' don't have enough flow, allowing the heater to heat the water to a temperature higher, than the thermostat setting. Make sure your bypass valve is closed, allowing full flow through the heater. Check your filter pressure differential , and skimmer baskets.
You didn't give your model number, and there are many models. You can go the Hayward website below and select your exact model number and download the manual. The manual will explain each error code.
