Question about HP LaserJet 1320n Printer
I had the same problem as one of the above posters in that when you cut the machine on it would try to feed paper but would jam with one sheet partially in the output tray, one in the machine itself and one part way loaded but stuck in the paper output tray. I also found the little piece of metal with "hooks" on each end and the spring that suddenly appeared as loose pieces on the right of the machine down near the paper tray. After looking at the metal piece I recognized it as part of a solenoid or relay. I looked at an exploded view of the printer and saw that there are three solenoids on the right hand side of the machine. I found the instructions for how to remove the right side cover on the internet and removed it. The bottom relay nearest the front of the machine was missing the spring and contact plate (the mystery parts!). I removed three screw holding the metal cover so that I could just lift the corner of the metal cover enough so I could take out the single screw holding the solenoid and pulled the solenoid out. I replaced the plate and spring on the solenoid, put everything back together and all is well again! Good luck!
