How do you change the time on a dymo datemark

Hi there!
Here's what you can do"
1. To set the current date and time, press and hold down the SET/EDIT button for a few seconds. Release the SET/EDIT button when the Month (M) and Day (D) indicators start flashing.
Note: The unit will revert back to normal display if no other key is pressed for 10 seconds
2. While the Month (M) and Day (D) indicators are flashing press the LOCK button to cycle through the 3 available date formats.
3. Once you have chosen an appropriate date format press the SHIFT button to switch between each of the different DATE, MONTH, YEAR, HOUR, and MINUTE fields. The field that is currently active will start flashing. To change the field's value press the LOCK button. Each stroke of the LOCK button moves one value up.
Note: If you go past the current year, you will need to press the LOCK button to cycle through the year 2189 and back up to the current year.
4. Once you are finished setting the Date and Time press the Set/Edit button to return to the normal display. The Date/Time Stamper is now ready to print..
Hope this helps!

Hello, I work for the Math department here at Portland Community College. Our little datemark is flashing p.reset and we don't know why. (My boss is downloading the manual but I am trying you). We put...

Please try the following:
  1. Remove all the batteries including the 3v lithium battery. In the 3v lithium battery compartment you will see a metal tab. Bend this metal tab upward slightly to ensure good contact with the lithium battery.
  2. With the batteries out, turn the unit over so you can see the print ribbon. At one end of the print ribbon you will see a plastic bracket. This plastic bracket should move freely. Using a pen or pencil point, gently move the plastic bracket from side to side in order to ensure it's able to move freely on the print ribbon.
  3. Check the display and make sure it is completely blank. Replace all of the batteries.
  4. Press the P-Reset button with a pen/pencil point or a straightened paper clip.
Hope this help, if it does please rate my help. Thanks

How does it print? (Datemark) Some magical way?

Hi Patricia,

First, try doing sequence power cycle by turning off the printer, computer and the router (if you're using one attached to your system) to make sure everything works perfectly in the printing process. Moreover, you may try to open the back cover where the batteries are and press the pinter reset button to refresh the printer settings. best regards, Jazerblue

How quickly do the AA batteries run down in the DYMO Datemark. I just started using a new one this morning and have stamped maybe 50 times and have now received the flashing p.reset

Mine usually last at least 6 months. But I am careful to lean it back slightly to make sure It's not touching the switch on the bottom, and I only use fresh energizer batteries.

The Datemark will not print the time, only the date shows.

Please try going to Dymo's site at http://www.dymo.com/media/UserGuides/Time%20Manual.pdf I also had trouble finding the instruction book/owner's manual.

Dymo DateMark stamper doesn't print.

if it is an older model [2001 or so] you just gently put your hand over the top like your going to pick it up but just push down and slightly forward. there is a button on the underside.
