You should never overfill the oil in a motor. What happens when you overfill the crankcase, is that usually causes the oil foam up and loose the lubricating properties of the oil or the pressure will cause a gasket to leak. If you overfill the oil, you must drain some back out to the proper level.

Where is the engine oil spout for a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer Where do you put the engine oil in?

depends on engine, some are on one or the other valve cover,my older GMC pickup( 305 v8), has it on the left valve cover toward frount, and says "oill here"
I have also seen older modles have a tube with a cap at midle frount of engine, usually it will be marked with either "oill here", or just plain "oill"

1989 dodge ram 150 4/w drive pickup has no oil pressure showing on the gage, driving or sitting still.

You need to have a oil pressure guage hooked up to see if you have a bad guage, sending unit to the guage, or if your oil pressure is actually low. Any garage should be able to do this, if you can't get one.
