SOURCE: Door locked, wont spin or drain.

humming noise suggests a foreign object in the pump. crack open filter and drain water into a shallow tray. repeat till empty. remove filter completely and clean it. check if something stuck in pump impellor. this should be visible by looking into the filter hole

SOURCE: Washer stopped. E04 beeps but won't spin or continue any cycle. Have shut off machine but only makes a strange sound.

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 st1\:*{behavior:url(#ieooui) } /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} I had the same problem. Error code E04 with a full load of laundry and water in the washer. Unplug the power to the washer. Take off the round cover plate in the front right. Mine did not turn clockwise or counter-clockwise, it was completely stuck. Used two flat tip screwdrivers to carefully pry it away, without damaging anything. The plate is a hard plastic but just pliable enough.
Once removed, you will see the pump (img_0001). Unscrew the pump cover slowly. There will be water coming out, so be prepared. In my case we had a LOT of water, so I drained it gradually into a couple of large garbage bags. Wrap the bag opening tightly against the pump surround to minimize spills (img_0002).
Once all the water is gone, remove the pump cover and clean out any items trapped in the pump and in the drain from the drum (img_0003). In my case it was some loose change and a small ColorCatcher sheet. Reassemble the pump and you're done.

SOURCE: Bosch classixx 1000 washing machine - stops on spin

Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x

SOURCE: Washer stops before rinse cycle and will not open. Reads E:04

Hello and welcome to fixya.

The "E04" error code on your WFMC series Bosch washer`s refer to a drainage problem as you may or may not already know. ( or in Bosch terms "pump time exceeded" )

What you may have is either a clogged pump, improper detergent being used, ( must use "HE"/lo-sudsing detergent ) hence suds not allowing a proper drain cycle, or wires loose at the pump...the later being the least likely.

You haven`t mentioned if you`ve checked the pump...it is likely just that, a blocked pump.

Anyway, here`s the most likely way to remedy a E04 code.

**Unplug the washer from the wall or turn off the breaker before attempting any repairs**

  1. Get some towels and if possible a wet/dry vac. If the machine drained, it won't be too bad. If your machine is stuck full of water, hopefully you won't get wet. ( maybe you`re lucky enough to be close to a floor drain )
  2. Locate the round door on the front of the machine (about 6" in diameter, lower right corner)
  3. Find a drill bit or small screwdriver that fits in the hole in the round door.
  4. Insert the bit into the hole in the door. It will push in a tab, it doesn't take much force. Rotate the hole (clockwise) to 6'oclock and it should come free. (the edges are very sharp so be careful or wear chain-mail gloves).
  5. Once the door is out of the way you'll be greeted by a 3-4" plastic cap with wings so you can unscrew it by hand. ( you should also see a red ring with a string attached, if you pull this the door should unlatch, but getting the water out first is usually a good plan. This will deal with the door lock issue but it likely isn`t unlocking due to the water in the tub ) There is a small collector lip at the bottom of the cap, that is where you can hold the wet/dry vac to catch the water. Unscrew slowly so you don't get flooded, until it is unscrewed all the way out.
  6. Now pull out the trap and visually inspect the inside of the pump as well as the filter/trap. Hopefully you'll find the item/debris that initiated the error code.
  7. After removing any debris or obstruction`s re-install the button trap/lint filter and plug the washer in to power or reset the breaker and give it a test.
  8. Run a load and watch for leaks. Leave the pump access door off until you are sure you screwed the cap in tight and there are no leaks.
Ultimately you may have a faulty drain pump, but I would certainly start by performing the things I listed first.

Let me know if you require further assistance and if not and this indeed solves your problem, please rate the solution I provided accordingly.

Thank you for coming to "fixya" and good luck.

My hoover dynamic washer is not showing an error code but all the lights are flashing and beeping all the time.

If your Hoover Dynamic washer is not displaying any specific error code but all the lights are flashing and it's beeping continuously, there might be an issue with the control panel or a more general system malfunction. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Power Cycle the Washer: Turn off the washer and unplug it from the power outlet. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on again. Sometimes, this simple reset can resolve minor electronic glitches.
  2. Check for Overloaded Washer: If the washer is overloaded with clothes, it can cause the control panel to act abnormally. Try running a smaller load and see if the flashing lights and beeping stop.
  3. Inspect the Water Supply: Ensure that the water supply to the washer is adequate and not restricted. Low water pressure or a clogged water inlet can cause unusual behavior in the washer.
  4. Check the Drainage: Make sure the drainage hose is not clogged or kinked. A blocked drainage system can lead to improper functioning of the washer.
  5. Examine the Door Lock: If the door lock is not engaging properly, the washer might not start or show unusual behavior. Check if the door is securely closed and the lock mechanism is functioning correctly.
  6. Check for Leaks: Look for any leaks around the washer. Water leakage can trigger safety features, leading to flashing lights and beeping.
  7. Inspect the Control Panel: Examine the control panel for any physical damage, moisture, or dirt accumulation. Clean the panel gently and make sure all buttons and knobs are functioning correctly.
  8. Software Glitch: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's possible that the washer's control board has encountered a software glitch. In this case, you may need to contact Hoover customer support or a professional appliance repair technician to diagnose and fix the problem.

Washing Machine stopped through cycle and now will not turn on

Check the wiring harness, connections, contacts, etc. Look for some corrosion and loose connections. Also, check the water inlet for anything that may cause a reduction in water flow.

Mid-cycle, the washer stopped and started to beep repeatedly. on the screen flashed F, then H. I can not longer find my manual. can you help?

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error code F/H means no water was detected entering machine or Pressure switch trip not detected. If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine and then valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed. It can also happen if the control has turned the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow meter has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valves will be turned off and the error code will flash. You?ll need to Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. Please rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

You’ll need to Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display and then check:

• If there is no water in the unit:
• Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way.
• Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves
• Verify inlet valve operation
• If there is water in the unit:
• Verify Drain pump operation
• Pressure Switch Hose is in good condition and properly connected to Tub and
Pressure switch
• Verify there is not a siphon problem
• Verify wire harness connections to; Inlet Valves, Pressure Switch, Drain Pump,
Flow Meter and Central Control Unit (CCU)
• Check all hoses for possible leaks
• Verify pressure switch operation
• Verify flow meter operation
• Verify CCU operation

Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

My AEG 18 in. Favorit 54750Vi has stopped working. It sounds as though it's going to start normally then starts to beep. When I open it the 'Rinse and hold', 'Normal 65*',and 'Intensive 70' indicator...

If for any reason (water leak)the anti flood device at the bottom of the washer is triggered it automatically stops the inlet of water via inlet solinoid and puts the washer in pump out mode. Check the float (polystireene plate with micro switch at the bottom of the washer). Dry any water and determine the reason for water and this should let water in again.

Frigidaire front loading washer stopped at rinse cycle. 3 beeps

When in doubt check the easiest thing to check. The pump can cause a number of errors to come up. Since the unit stopped in rinse I would start but checking to make sure there is nothing obstructing the pump before going to the expensive parts.
