The problem could be one of the three issues
The Volume is not turned up on the speakers or it is not turned up on the loudspeaker icon on the taskbar.It may even be muted.
Faulty Sound Card the sound card may be defective,It has a defective connection or not plugged in to the correct output socket.
Could be faulty speakers.

Samsung dvd R155 disk tray won't open/eject


1) try to clean the button with special contact cleaner spray
2) if this work, is o.k otherwise use the r. control and try to open the tray if work, is obvious the button was dirty. If doesnot work, you must the DVD player.
3) inspect any belt and replace, and lube any shaft +gear with small lubricant( vaseline) and replace any parts broken.Tight any wires connector very well and clean it.
4) if doesnot resolve the problem you must go the repair shopt TV for fix it.

Sound card doesnot install


do you get any error message, please double check your device manager and make sure you are installing the correct driver, you can try to go to support.dell.com click on drivers and downloads and make sure to enter your service tag, that is the 7 alphanumeric characters found on your tower. in that way you will be able to know if that is the correct driver.

No sound coming from speakers


check the sound setting, if u have sound in the computer but when u put cds it doesnot work! go to sound settings from control panel and adjust it, if there is no sound at all in the computer? reinstall the sound driver, if u have it , update it.

try to go to control pannel of the computer then go to sound and then check the setting their as it required ,if it doesnot work then go to run and then type in devmgmt.msc and it will open up devicemanager and then go to sound and check that it doesnot have red ex if it has a ed ex then right click on to it and try to enable it and it will definetly work

CD ROM not working


Sounds like your CD Rom has karked it and is dead. This happens for many reasons. Take it into a computer technician to get a new one put in for you and your laptop will run perfect and you won't have to worry about the BIOS problem
