Question about Hitachi 50V720 Television
Flat screen TV has a leak inside, I think. At the bottom of the screen is a perfect round circle and then little mountains across the bottom. I suspect the 2 year old pressed a round toy against the screen and now it's "bleeding" inside. Does that make sense?
The display is broken, this isn't a cost effective fix either, try and find another tv, same model number, with a good lcd module or just scrap it for parts. If the break is low enough you may be able to live with it. Sorry to be the harbinger of doom and gloom....

What technology is this TV? LCD? Plasma? DLP? LCD screens can break fairly easily. The liquid crystals are "grown", and they are very thin. If the glass is not cracked, then there may be a problem with the "ribbon cables" that connect the thousands of pixels to the processor. Moving the ribbons a tiny bit may make it work. If this does solve it, use clear tape to hold them in place.
