These printer copiers have covers that are difficult to remove
you must look at the seams where the covers meet ,look for arrows and insert a small flatblade into the opening and gently pry the cover apart.most keypads are connected using a flat ribbon cable ,pull the cable out and pay attention to the orientation of the cable, one side will have small silver contacts they must be reinstalled the exact way they were removed.clean the silver contacts with a pencil eraser and reinstall the cable.
If it still doesnt work, the power supply may be defective. if so call a tech.

look at relay and wire connections to starter if power to starter than starter solenoid or starter gone bad it no power check battery --key ,if worn ignition may not be reading key -if key has chip in it chip may have gone pad --ignition switch went bad
if your keypad is factory installed there is no battery . if after market yes has battery. if factory, be sure no keys are in car, when you press in a code number does the pad light up ,if yes its getting power then it is probably the keypad needs to be replaced ,if not lighting up its not getting power, check fuses and wiring connections
most the time its a bad key pad when unit wont power on and what it cost to repair you can buy another one check the pins in the power cord see if there not broke or bent yes they break take a 12 volt test light see if you have power going to power in the plug that connects to back of unit if you have power . . .bad key pad
You must replace the key pad as a unit, the tiny light bulb is not replaceable. This involves removing the drivers door panel (about a 2 hour job at home)and the rear door glass run channel. I suggest if you can afford it you have a professional do this rather involved job. If you do want to attempt it let me know.
If the key pad light is not working the first thing you do is restart the device. After restarting the device check the light and power settings it might be a sort of power saving mode. If after checking the setting still nothing then restore the device factory settings to do this you need the device lock code. If the light still doesn't come on then refer it to an expert for a closer look. Hope this is helpful
If it is a slow blink on the start button it's something to do with your door switch. If it's a rapid continous flashing it's prob a short in your key pad. If it flashes 7 times, pauses and then repeats you have a fault with your heating element.
If it's a short with your key pad and the unit has water in it - stopped mid cycle you can cut the power to the unit at the breaker, open the door controls up and disconnect the 14 pin key pad connection. There should be a wiring diagram in the toekick cover (at the floor). This diagram will tell you how to do various tests, disconnect the key pad. If your not a handy type person call a repair man and tell him you think youhav a short in your key pad.
if you have power at the outlet and the internal fuse is okay, I would say you have a problem on the control board.
We repair these nationwide for $32.50.
