Wish to bridge onto mixer output to send to separate amp for use in another part of bldg. without interfearing with regular speakers. Peavey XR684

simple !! most peavey mixers have a monitor output !! you can use that to feed new amp , and theres your volume too !!! or if your already using the monitor output , you can buy a split cable (1 in 2 outs) for main send !! this cable would have to be kept short or it will induce HUMMM !! and in real extreme cases if your using a low Z send (cant think as to why ) a device known as a (direct box) normally used by instrument sends can be used in reverse to "tap" into a low Z send and output with a unbalanced send for an amp to your other room , but hey why not just add a speaker with a volume control to it for this smaller room ? and forgo the new amp

I have a Peavey 8600D can I safely run 1 main

When you unload one amplifier you stand the chance of killing the amp's output transistor. If you must use only one speaker, you have to bridge the amps.

Setting up pv20 usb

http://www.peavey.com/products/index.cfm/item/699/116338/PV%26nbsp%3B20%26nbsp%3BUSB

Look under "Downloads" tab at bottom for owners manual info. In a nutshell...mic to mixer channel #1, mixer connected to power amplifier, amplifier connected to speakers. Start with zero volumes on all equipment, bring up amps 1st (1/2 volume) and then adjust mixer until sound is heard from the microphone.

How do i connect my behringer ha400 headphone amp to my peavey xr684

You can hook'em up utilizing the front low-level main outputs of your peavey684 to your headphone amp inputs, this should do the job satisfactorily.

I have 110v XR 1220 power mixer and friend of mine plug into 240v power point, blown the two transistors ou. I do not know what short of transistors are they?

There are dozens of transistors in the unit... we can't guess which you might be refering to. The power supply of the 1200 series mixers have fuse before each part of the supply for the preamp sections.

Trying to find the mute j111 on xr684f

I don't believe there is a mute function on the XR684F unit. There is a mute on the XR8600 but they probably use different boards in it. The mute button for the XR8300 and XR8600 are near the effects selector button and LIKELY is board mounted and would not have a J111 connector. If the electrical function is in the XR684, it MAY just be pads like test points, to only be used during testing and troubleshooting.

While using my xr684 for practice at home, there was a loud noise and a smell of burning electic circuit,so I turned off.a friend who used to work in the amplifier business looked at it for me and said it...

Probably one of the two amplifiers in it had a failure. It is probably economically repairable by a COMPETENT technician. I would expect several transistors have failed probably $30 if parts maximum.

I would NOT suggest using it with the failure as further damage or even a slight fire hazard might exist.

Bad or intermittent speaker cables are common cause of this type failure. Overdriving or even a bad speaker can also cause it.
