I have the same problem and want to fix it. Do I need to get a part from Sony or some other source, or can I just add a piece of wire to replace the bad one? If anyone can add any additional info it would be very helpful. Charles

I have the same issue. I just took the LCD Panel off and sure enough the connector wire is damaged. What this connector called? I'm having issues finding out to buy so I can replace it.
