go into the router page at: http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.2.1 login then go to wps, thats the 8 digit pin. You can hack it using a rtl8187 wifi adapter, linux, aircrack-ng, and reaver-wps to crack the pin but it will take 6-8 hours from what I've read.
You need to make sure the password you are entering is entered correctly. Check for upper and lower case letters and to check it you should be able to find it on the underside of the router.
You should be able to see the 8 digit security PIN on the back of the side of the router. It will have three numbers , MAC, SERIAL and SECURITY PIN. it will be clearly visible if you see the label attached to the router.

the 8 digit pin is indicated on the serial sticker of the router. Just look at the bottom part of the router. and you should see the pin numbers.

Well the PIN number is Usually on the router itself on the back side and its a 8 digit number if that works well and good. Open an Internet Explorer browser page on your wired computer(desktop).In the address bar type - http://192.168.1.1 and press Enter... you have to create that pin but it is a 10 diget number not 8. 64 bit encryption is 10 numbers log into the router if you dont know how go to linksys web site they have great wolk through guides with pictures and everything. very easy.
