Re: Cleaning the print head on my HP5440 printer?

Try cleaning the head of the cartrige with alcohol and a Q-tip, if this doesn't help you may have to buy a new one. Cartriges can dry up if they haven't been used for a while. Even though you refilled it, there could be some dry ink stuck in the head. Hold the Qtip with alcohol on the head for a bit and let it dry, reinstall it and then try printing again.

After refiling ink, print is not getting corectly

Question is, was it printing correct before you refilled?
If not, the refill perhaps was not needed. Perhaps only cleaning the print head coulld have been enough. Print a head alignement page (just a little ink is used and only a few lines are printed) to check all the nozzles. When you see missing parts, you know you have to run one or a few cleaning cycles. When you don't use the printer often, please at least once a week switch it on and after a few minutes switch it of again. It will perform a cleaning cycle then, making the chanche of cloging minimal.

Faint & White Lines in Printer Head Alignment

This sounds like you are using either a refilled cartridge or an after market cartridge and the ink is clogging the print nozzle. To clear the problem you need to insert an OEM cartridge, run the deep nozzle cleaning utiliity, alignment utility. This should clear up the problem with the spotty printout.
Let me know if this solves your problem otherwise we can explore other solutiions.

Changed the print head in my Canon MP760 but now printing is blurred and very faint

Try cleaning the felt pads where the print head would rest when not printing. They get full of ink and cause more printing problems. I use water to clean them.Don't loose them, they are needed to keep the print head from drying out.

Epson R340 ink issue

Purchase some inkjet head cleaner, remove all the carts and using a refilling syringe, gently inject the cleaning solution into the bay where the spikes are for the cartridges. Let it sit with that in to soak over night, and then run several cleaning cycles on it to pull the ink through. The CISS (continuous ink) shouldn't have damaged the heads in anyway. We sell them at work, and have never had one damage the heads, although they can be tempramental sometimes!

Printer only printing bottom half of words

this usually happens when an air pass trough the valve of the ink upon refilling it.the effect would be an unequal distribution of the ink content. try first cleaning the head to disperse off the air inside the ink. if it doesnt solve the problem, i suggest try refilling it again and do the cleaning process a couple of times to clear out the air inside the cartridge.

No shadow density in photograph printing

If you haven't been printing for 6 weeks, your print head is clogged, which is why the print quality is poor. Turn your printer on. On your computer, go to START, then SETTINGS, find PRINTERS AND FAXES and click on that. A window will open and you should see your printer. Right click on it, then click on PROPERTIES. A window will open, with several tabs. The one you need is MAINTENANCE. Open the tab and click on CLEAN PRINT HEAD. I think there are 2 options, cleaning and deep cleaning. Click on deep cleaning. You should hear the printer rumbling, then, when it finishes, it should print a page with 4 colors: black, cyan, magenta and yellow. If the colors come out right, you're done. If not, repeat the cleaning until you get a satisfying result. Just bear in mind that cleaning the print head uses a lot of your ink, so I suggest you put the refilled cartridges when performing this operation.
Also, to avoid getting in this situation again, I suggest that you print one page, at least once in 10 days. That way, your print head should always work fine.

Very Faint Printouts

I find the best way to clean the heads is buy some cleaning cartridges as they have cleaning fluid in them and use them to clean it will take about 10 or more times to clean the heads then put the color ones back in and try again.
Just keep putting it on clean the head don't do a print out till at lest you have cleaned 10 or more times.
