Question about Siemens SX66

Can't hear incoming calls (they can hear me) after using GPS/bluetooth navigation

This does not happen all the time, but frequently. Could anyone help, please? I heard that this problem might be due to an older version of BT ( I upgraded to an official version on Siemens website a couple of years ago, I guess, version 1.33). Started reading about BT fixes, such as PDA2K_Bluetooth fix, but can't actually get a hold of a physical file, only references to Imate site which requires registration with Imate IMEA number, which I don't have.

Or there's another way to solve this (without upgrading to a new ROM)? Patch would be preferable.

Many thanks.

Re: Can't hear incoming calls (they can hear me) after...

Since I don't have a GPS, I haven't had this problem myself, but one thought does come to mind.

Does your Bluetooth Manager correctly identify your GPS? If it is misidentified as a hands-free connection, for example, the SX-66 may be sending incoming audio to your GPS. Try checking your Bluetooth Manager next time you connect your GPS, and/or deleting the existing GPS profile and setting up a new connection for it.

Can't hear anything in my bluetooth headset, mic is working

Hi--First, make sure your "mute" function is off.  Try holding both volume buttons at the same time for a second or two.  If that doesn't help, while you're having a conversation, either with or without bluetooth, make sure your phone's volume is turned up.  On a lot of phones the volume button will control both ringer and conversation volumes, but turning it up without the phone in use only affects the ringer volume.  My husband thought there was something wrong with his bluetooth until we noticed his phone volume was set too low--not as noticeable on handset, but bluetooth apparently needs volume up pretty high!

So I haven't got an absolute answer for you, but I can use my bluetooth headset and my bluetooth navigation system at the same time - the commands will come thru the headset.

E310 and GPS

Before you buy the GPS for your PDA please be careful if the GPS manufacturer guaranteed the functionality with your PDA. I have e800 and I plan to buy the GPS for my unit. Unfortunately at the moment I have no information which one you should you use. You should have a look at the following document, to see how to setup a BT connection to your BT -GPS device.

TomTom 5 BT mouse: no Connection

A friend of mine uses the same software for his PDA. I have asked him what the problem can be and he told me that some kind of “connection registry” or something like that is very important. Start PDA and start the Bluetooth. Go to Bluetooth symbol and choose BT settings. There must be shown some “magnifying glass”. Click on it and the search will start. All visible objects will be listed in the upper part of window. Mark the GPS and it will be listed in lower part of window. Click on it and start this “connection registry”. After that you can use the navigations software. Go to “GPS status” and there you must put some check mark on some green quadrangle. Sorry I can not explain you exactly what it was but I am sure that in User`s manuals of TomTom you can find a right explanation.
