SOURCE: turning off the air bag chevrolet kalos

Are you talking about the passenger side? They sometimes have a switch to turn them off. The drivers side does not have an on off switch. Be careful working around air bags they can KILL YOU.

SOURCE: What type of oil is

Factory was a conventional 5w30. If you are using (burning or leaking) you can go up to 10w30 or even 10w40, depending on your climate & outside temperature.

Do you need to torque oil pan bolts?
Engine oil pan bolts range in torque from seven foot-pounds to 22 ft-lb or more for large engines with heavier pans and bolts. Once you've torqued the bolts and filled the engine with oil, you should run the engine for five minutes to bring it up to normal operating temperature.

My 2007 Chevrolet kalos oil engine and battery light have all come on. My car will start and will go a very short distance and then engine cuts out. With those lights coming on the engine once started...

The engine light is telling you that the CPU has found
sensor/s outside set parameters during the checking process. Have the fault codes read before wasting time and money guessing what has failed. Replace with genuine items only as aftermarket units are not always compatible with the settings in the CPU.

I don't have an owners manual, what type of oil do i use in vehicle. I live in a dry climate las vegas i have chevy equinox ls

Oil Viscosity In addition to meeting the SH or SJ classification of the American Petroleum Institute, your oil should be of a viscosity suitable for the outside temperature in which you'll be driving. Oil must be thin enough to get between the close tolerances of the moving parts it must lubricate. Once there, it must be thick enough to separate them with a slippery oil film. If the oil is too thin it won't separate the parts, if it's too thick it can't squeeze between them in the first place either way, excess friction and wear takes place. To complicate matters, cold-morning starts require thin oil to reduce engine resistance, while high-speed driving requires thick oil, which can lubricate vital engine parts at temperatures up to 250Ā°F (121Ā°C). According to the Society of Automotive Engineers' viscosity classification system, an oil with a high viscosity number (e.g., 40) will be thicker than one with a lower number (e.g., l0W). The "W" in l0W indicates that the oil is desirable for use in winter driving. Using special additives, multiple-viscosity oils are available to combine easy starting at cold temperatures with engine protection at turnpike speeds. For example, 10W-40 oil will have the viscosity of l0W oil when the engine is cold and that of 40 oil when the engine is warm. The use of such oil will decrease engine resistance and improve your gas mileage during short trips in which the oil doesn't have a chance to warm up. Some of the more popular multiple-viscosity oils are 5W-30, 10W-30, 10W-40, 15W-40, 20W-40, 20W-50, and 5W-50. Consult your owner's manual or a reputable oil dealer for the recommended viscosity range for your vehicle and the outside temperature in which it operates. I would check the cap to see if it says what viscosity to use or the label in the engine compartment to see what viscosity to use. Also, try the 'Owner' section of the chevrolet.com website to download the manual if possible. Many late model vehicles have this available at the chevrolet.com website for free.

My oil light came on on my daewoo kalos today then 2 mins later there was a clunk the the engine cut out and now will not start.it has plenty of oil in it so thats not the problem. it turns over but just...

Don't know that engine really well but whenever the cam or rockers do not move when cranking usually the cause is a broken timing chain or drivebelt. Since the oil light came on beforehand, you may have something more serious going on there such as a broken or seized camshaft You will need to tear it down to find the cause.

How to change rear main oil seal on a daewoo kalos do you have to drop the subframe and how long should it take the engine is a 1.3

I believe the rear main oil seal is located by the flywheel and would require dropping the transmission in order to access that seal. I'm not positive on your car though...
