Try to recover your system using Recovery discs. If your system has preinstalled recvoery partition, then you can try performing recovery using F11 recovery.

You will loose all the data on your hard disk as recovering the system will restore your system to factory settings and will remove the complete data.

The reason you cannot proceed with XP installation is that the system you have has a BIOS lock i.e it is configured to install only Vista. The only way to install XP is to tweak the BIOS settings which only the concerned technicians can advise or do, its better you stick with Vista.
If your system came with preinstalled OS then it is designed to run it effectively, and as far as the slow down is concerned there may be many causes for the same eg no of installed startup apps, possible virus infection etc...

You need to format the drive so back up all docs etc that you want to keep and then boot from the install disc (make sure it's an install disc NOT an upgrade) then you will see an option to format and partition the drive. The problem is that Vista is an upgrade from xp, and it won't allow you to downgrade.

I 'm not sure what operating system you installed, so i'm giving you the webcam driver download link for Windows Vista.

Windows Vista :
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software11/COL24260/mp-62602-3/setup.exe

If you are running Windows XP then I'm sorry to let you know that, your notebook manufacturer (HP) doesn't have support for your Webcam Driver. It won't work in windows XP.

Good Luck.

My graphics card is fast at one point then slows down!

Make sure the driver for the notebook from the manufacturers website is installed, and not the video driver from Microsoft's Windows Update. After that, update Java, Adobe Flash and Adobe Shockwave. Finally, check for updates for DirectX (version 9.0C). Post back your results, please.

MISSING FILES OF WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM

You can boot up your Vista cd and it will give you the option to Install or Perform a Repair.
Since you say that you have already re-installed it, I would save the data and continue with a complete installation IE:format and Install.

Presario f700 drivers

You have to download XP drivers from the manufacturer's website. This normally happens because your harware was designed for the new OS(Vista).

Just go to hp.com and search for the model of your Laptop.
