Connection or activation issue

Are you trying to watch local shows via your ROku? If yes, it won't be possible because the Roku doesn't have that capability like a cable box. Whatever channel you can find in the Roku's Channel Store, those are the only channels that you can access on it.

you need to contact charter for support on their remote and how to reprogram it for your new tv. for most universal remotes there is setup key or you have use a key combo to press to enter into setup mode and a user's for the cable box may have this info. however, if you do not have or did not get a user's guide then you need to contact your charter cable company for the info needed to get the 2 devices working together. refer to cable co. tech support.

Charter remote will not change channels--I have put in tv code but still nothing--noting on the remote will work except to power the tv on

You will need to program it to your cable box to change channels. Remember, the channels in your tv are coming from your box, so if the remote can't control the box, you won't be able to change channels. Call charter for help on programming remote to cable box.

I bought a used Emerson vcr3002 without a manual and cannot get it to record on high channels. Do you know how to adjust this?

television companies block out recording on the higher channels, they want you to pay for them and not be able to record them. I use to install for Charter Communications Cable and thats what they did

Bought a proscanlcd hdtv 32lb30Q unable to get cable signal

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, pls confirm if below is how it is wired using a coaxial cable and not 3cable RCA to RCA:
  • Charter Digital Cable > DVD/VCR > TV
If yes and your concern is snowy or no signal on the TV screen, might it be that you have to power OFF the DVD/VCR when selecting channels on the TV itself (including when channel setup is being done).

Alternately, you can tune the TV to channel 3 and let the DVD/VCR do the channel selections.

Pls post back results. Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.
