If your Separator is broken, then this will allow water to go up through the motor and out the exhaust. The HEPA Filter Neutralizer 2nd Edition for eSERIES is at the end of the air bath of exhaust so this will be soaked with water. If that does not fix, call us with your Rainbow in front of you for some troubleshooting... Contact Us

If you dopn't change the hepa filter will motor burn up or explode

No. The HEPA filter is simply to collect fine dust and allergens that make it past the water. Hmm. If it gets full/clogged and isn't changed, then the motor is more likely to burn up from overheating. It's more likely it will shut off if the filter gets full. It will not explode.

My Rainbow has no suction

Your Rainbow E series has lost suction power, because you need a new hepa filter, or your water basin gasket is messed up, or the center motor gasket is messed up or out of position.

Make sure your water basin is not cracked or broken, also.
If it is an earlier model, everything applies, except for the filter. They do not have filters, on any of the earlier models.

If you have any more questions let me know. I am a Rainbow seller, and a Rainbow expert also.

Thank you,
Ralph

Water leaking from out of the heppa filter

Reasons for that to happen:
a) You have tilted the vac while vacuuming
b) Used the Rainbow without separator (basket like thing on the bottom of the motor)
c) Overfilled the rainbow tank with water (may have happened when shampooing with AquaMate)

Clean and install back the separator, remove HEPA, Set the Rainbow on empty water pan (with HEPA removed) turn it on for a while so everything will dry. Install new HEPA.

You will have to get a new HEPA filter (you can find them HERE)

Good Luck,
Rocky

Water blowing out of rear filter

Unless the design has changed, there should be a cone shaped filter with slots around the sides of it. It's secured to a brass bolt in the center of the Rainbow above the motor. The filter is used to keep water out of the motor. If it isn't attached it can blow water out of the secondary filter as well as the exhaust port. It can ruin the motor in some cases as well.

It shouldn't be operated without it being secured to the base of the Rainbow.

We used to call it a filter but what it is its a water serperator. It looks likes this:

Changing the filter in Rainbow e series

Some of the e-series has a corrugated filter in the top section. To get to it, remove the clear plastic panels that are the sides. Most have 3 screws on each side to move, then the top half will come loose. There also is filter on the back, there is a door to remove to get to it.
