Subject: Kenmore LP Gas Grill Model 141.155400
I have just rebuilt my Kenmore Gas Grill Model 141.15500. During the rebuild operation I replaced each gas collector box.
The facing side of each gas collector box is mounted on a threaded sleeve which has a pair of adjustment nuts which can allow fore and aft adjustment of the assembly. Opposite this threaded sleeve is a slot which runs the entire width of the gas collector box. The assembly can be adjusted fore and aft relative to the burner ports. I selected the slotted side of the gas collector box to be the adjustment reference plane.
Each burner has 32 ports on each of it's two sides. These ports are paired transversely from side to side of each burner. For reference, I started my count with the number one pair of ports being at the orifice end of the burner tube.
My Question is: (1) Which pair of burner ports do I adjust to and align the slotted side of the gas collector box with?
I appreciate your help with this matter.
Thanks,
Charles W. Clark

You may be running lean. Add air until you have as much blue flame as you can get. Often, however, this is impossible on worn burners.

Call 1-800-4MYHOME and request a brochure for that model. Then you can call the Parts line at the same number and order the parts you need.
The actual grill model number is 141-16690

I've been screeming at my employeer about this design for years!!! I know what you are trying to do- I have to work on them, even in 90 degree weather!!!! Find the screws that hold that side panel on,remove screws, have someone else there to help you hold it in place- best to get the HARDWARE pack also, its new screws as the old ones will be rusted in, I've even had to grind some of the old screws to get them removed.. Good luck , at least you know someone else is having same problem...

Try blowing the burner out with compressed air. They're not adjustable but can get clogged up and change the air to gas mix.
