Question about Apple iPhone Smartphone

1 Answer

My iphone will not charge at all.. I've done a hard reset and still nothing. I have tried buying a new charger and also trying a friends charger. Still nothing. I have tried plugging it up to the computer to do a restore and that is doing nothing also. The phone is less than 2 months old and even though I will be sending it back i would like to have a solution to this problem if it should happen again. What should i do?

Hello,
Before sending it back, you can: - Check if there are nothing that can block the connectors inside the plug of the iPhone - Remove the SIM card and put it back in - Press both left side and up buttons for 20 seconds - Blow dry air in the iPhone plug and replug the charger - Does iTunes see the iPhone when it is connected to the computer?
If these don't work then you can send it back

My iphone won't charge

Please try your charger with another iphone.
Try a friends charger with your iphone.

If your charger charges your friend iphone, your charging port may be bad.
- If your friend's charger works with your phone, then your charger may be bad.

The RAM may not be working.
Try removing the RAM module/s and and cleaning the gold contacts with methylated spirits then replace the RAM module/s. If the computer still does not boot, then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test your RAM.

IPhone will not charge by wall charger or USB into PC. Tried hard boot and only see red battery with a charge symbol. Any ideas

  • Try a different USB to iPhone cable
  • Make sure there is no dirt in the iPhone power connector (blow with compressed air)
  • Try a hard reset:
Hard Reset:
Switch the mute switch 4 times (up, down, up down)
Now press home and power for 6-10 seconds

I have a feeling that when you ran the battery down it is now struggling to get and hold a charge.
If you have a friend with a similar battery perhaps try that, or go to a mobile store and ask them to try a new battery for you.
