Re: connecting to my computer

Hi RedRecker.
Actualy you don't need a driver of some sort to access your phone, all you need to do is flip open your phone and connect the cable and your PC will do everything for you. If it doesn't work im not realy sure whats the problem because i use Windows XP unless your using a different windows or Linux,Mac.
Once you have plugged it in something should pop-up saying to open the folder just click ok or unless you can access it threw your My Computer, it will show as a new drive there.
You will see Pictures and Sounds and you can add or remove anything from those folders with limited space.
If you need more help feel free to email me at

Download from lg800g to computer

Is your Micro USB cable a "B" or "A"?Micro USB "B" is for data/charging.
Micro USB "A" is for charging only and will not work for any kind of data transfer (pins not connected).
The connector will be labeled at the micro usb end.
When you plug the cable into your phone a popup will ask you if you want to connect to mass storage. Once you answer yes, you can connect to the phone just like a usb drive.

I've connected my HTC Desire Z via USB lead to my PC.. Now how do I transfer my photos to my PC from the phone ?. Do I have to create an icon first, or what ?.....

taken from the HTC site....
To transfer files from your computer to your phone's storage card, you need to set the phone's storage card as a USB drive. Connect the phone to the computer using the USB cable, and open the Notifications panel. Tap USB connected and then tap Mount, the phone will appear as an external USB drive in your computer.
hope that helps

I am wanting to use the usb cable that came with my phone, but it did not come with a disc for my computer. I am wanting to transfer pictures. Can you help?

You can connect the phone with the computer using the usb without disc.

Connect the phone with the computer using usb and the phone will be recognize by the computer.
Or, you can go to my computer and look for the phone. double on it and it will open. it should either drive E OR D on your computer.

Transfer Pictures from Samsung A727

Try making sure that within the picture settings it is set to your memory card on the phone. If that doesnt work try moving your pictures over to the phone memory. That is most commonly why pictures can't be seen on the computer. And don't use those stupid discs you get with your phone. Use "My Computer" to view the files and stuff on your phone.

There is a program called BIT PIM it may help. It's free. It isn't the easiest program in the world to use, but it is the only one I've ever used with any success for this application.

Trouble with usb

This may not be any help, but I had the same problem with my MP3 player and it was the cable that was buggered. I bought a new one & all is good again. The old cable can still be used for charging, but not for data transfer. Don't know why.
