You need to pull off the part right along the top of the base of the laptop (where the lights show for power, Caps lock etc.). Pull that off and then take the clip off that goes over the bottom part of the screen. Lift the screen and there you hve the screws visible to remove.

Are you getting the BIOS info on the screen?
If you can access the BIOS check all the setting.
Hard Drive installed, Boot Sequence and so-on.
If you get NOTHING on the screen but can hear it "running", try plugging in a Monitor, you may have to find the monitor key, usually = hold "Fn" + Press "F5" to switch screen to monitor to both.
