Dropped in soapy water it worked. Did it again stopped working. Can it be fixed. Tried the rice method.

If dried out and still not working it is not worth fixing, even if possible - cost is probably under $50 new, less used.

Dropped my walkman in water how can i get it working again

Did you immediately remove the batteries and let everything dry out thoroughly? If not, you just may have to get a new player.

i dropped mine into water too, and at first I think it's hopeless to cure but i still tried because i just bought it several months ago. i tried to dry it with the hair-dryer for about 15-20 mins. it didn't work well right after but 2 days later, it seemed to be normal again. life still has miracles^^

Mp3 was dropped in water and doesn't work anymore

Well the only real thing you can do is to dry it out until no water is left in it and it might work..Usually when these things see water and there on it fries them..but sometimes when they are exposed to water and they are turned of and wait for water to dry they will work again,,Thats not a good sign when you said you heard it sizzle..Thats it shorting out the main board..You might be replacing if when the water dries it doesnt come on thats what happen.Sorry Have A Great Day

Dropped my rca S1010A mp3 player in water, now it does not turn on... any suggestions ?

Have you've ever thought of the idea that because you dropped it in water, the electronics in the MP3 player might have been seriously damaged? Nothing electronic will work after being in contact with water. (unless it's waterproof or you're REALLY lucky)

Washed up

well what i try is disassamble as much as possible, then using a hair drier dyry it, not too hot, you do not want to melt anything. depending on how fay you can take it apart will depend on the drying time. many electroncs will need to be replaced after being dropped into water. you got lucky it's not salt water. after drying it, let it sit for a day or so. DO NOT plugg in power because if there is any water left inside it will short out the electronics damageing the unit. good luck
