Connect an external monitor on your machine and check if display is ok on the external monitor. if yes, try to re-install your video driver and check if display is ok on your laptop.

if both doesnt have display (external monitor and laptop's display) i suspected your lcd display is faulty.

My sansui pc/tv monitor isn't working properly when I connect it to my desktop.

Windows is likely crashing while loading recently upgraded device drivers. The most common culprits for this scenario are video drivers.

The next time you boot, as soon as you see the Dell splash screen, start tapping the F8-key about once every second until you see a white on black menu. If you see the Windows logo, you missed it (try again, this time start tapping the F8-key a little before the Dell splash screen).

This menu will allow you to boot Windows in "Safe Mode", which will bypass any non-essential drivers and applications that could be causing the crashing. Select "Safe Mode with networking".

Assuming the computer booted fine in Safe Mode, you will be able to remove the troublesome drivers. You will see an informational message about Safe Mode, which you may close at any time. Right-click "My Computer" and select "Manage". Wait a moment for the Computer Management window to appear. Then, click on "Device Manager". If Windows was able to identify the faulty driver, it will appear in the list with a bright-yellow triangle. If this is the case, right-click and "uninstall" it. If it did not show up, first click the tiny white triangle next to "Display Adapters" and "Monitors" to open those categories. Then, right-click and "uninstall" everything listed within the two categories. Your computer will probably boot normally after doing this. But, try and find the proper driver for you video adapter before rebooting if possible. I recommend also re-installing the chipset drivers which may be related to the problem.

To attain drivers for your specific Dimension B110, visit the following link and enter the service tag code on the back or side of your machine: Dell Drivers

I deleted everything and now it goes to a black screen

Start the computer, and watch for the screen at the bottom to indicate to press F11 or to run setup. Once here, You'll see a file menu. Press F9 on each one and save the defaults. Once you reach the last, Exit Menu, press F9 and press yes to save defaults.

Press Exit again, and exit saving settings.

The computer will restart again. If the OS (operating system) does not load still, restart the computer again, and press F1, or the indicated F command shown at bottom of screen to go into Loading List.

This list will allow you to start the computer and operate in "Safe Mode". NOTE: some programs will not operate or run in safe mode, however you should be able to downlaod the appropriate driver.

If this does not work, insert the Operating System CD and re-install from the start - if you are prompted for repair or install, select Install.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

My monitor goes blank after a while, power light still on,why is this & what can I do?

Check connection cable with videocard on your PC, unplug it and carefully plug it in again. (Turn off your monitor during this operation). If monitor goes black after loading OS (like Windows), then your screen resolution higher then monitor can support. Load computer in Safe Mode and lower screen resolution.

Monitor goes blank

Try restarting the computer in Safe Mode and then check. In case it flickers in Safe Mode too, then the LCD screen might be damaged and you might need to replace it.

No monitor

1) UNPLUG THE LAPTOP
2) REMOVE THE BATTERY
3) HOLD DOWN THE POWER BUTTON FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS TO 2 MINUTES
4) THEN PUT THE BATTERY BACK IN or DON'T
5) START IT UP...
After that when the system starts you can do the system restore START--ALL PROGRAMS--ACCESSORIES--SYSTEM TOOLS--SYSTEM RESTORE.Hope that will do. Otherwise you can re-install windows if you have a Windows CD.That will definitely solve the problem. There might be problems with VGA Resolution [if you have used the laptop with some other monitor or TV] or driver. For installing Windows Do Google Search.

Video problem on my Dell Dimension 4600 PC, HELP ASAP.

the resolution set by default when you load your graphics driver is outside the range of your monitors capability.

try starting in safe mode then adjust your resolution to 640 by 480 then restart.
if this works, adjust upwards to 1024 by 768
then up again till the screen blanks.
when it does, dont panic, wait 20 seconds and the settings will restore - you then have the optimum settings for your monitor.

good luck
