Check your connections first and if the connections are good between the power cord and the motherboard then your power supply is bad or you have a bad fan. If you haven't left it on for any length of time and the fan is bad you can get away with replacing the fan but if you have a fan that's been going out more than likely you've shortened the life of the power supply too. Also if you were working inside the case you may have a loose connection by the power button.
