Question about Microwave Ovens
WHILST CLEANING THE INSIDE OF MY HINARI MICROWAVE OVEN - AN OBLONG PIECE OF CARDBOARD FIXED TO THE 'ROOF' OF THE OVEN COMPARTMENT - HAS PERISHED + NOW THERE IS A SMALL HOLE IN THE CARDBOARD THE ' PERISHED CARDBOARD' WHICH CAME 'AWAY' - HAS ON THE UNDERSIDE WHAT LOOKS LIKE SILVER FOIL OR SOMETHING SIMILAR. IS THE OVEN STILL SAFE TO CONTINUE TO USE? - IF NOT CAN I IMPLEMENT MY OWN HOME REPAIR - I.E. COVERING THE HOLE WITH SOMETHING WHICH I CAN EASILY OBTAIN OR ALREADY HAVE IN THE HOME?
It sounds like what you are describing is called a "waveguide cover". You can purchase a replacement from a local parts supplier, or on-line at www.repairclinic.com. It is very easy to replace.
