Question about Bosch Axxis WTA 3510 Electric Dryer

My dryer is taking up to five hours to dry a load of washing. I have just moved into this house and have been told it takes a long time because it's being energy efficient. That's nuts!

Check on the back of the dryer, if it has no vent then it is a condensate dry and it takes forever to dry with those, if it has venting it just needs to be cleaned out from the dryer to the outside of the home

Check your vent for restrictions. It may be blocked or maybe just restricted.

How long does it take in a full cycle of wash to dry

Depends on several things. How big the drum is eg 6 kg or 7kg .the spin speed... The material ie. cotton drys faster than woollen items.is it a washer dryer or do you have a separate dryer.normal full load 6kg on a 1200 rpm spin of mixed fibres takes 1 hours 30 mins at 40 c then the dry time can take roughly 1 hour to 90 mins.

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have not taken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then you need to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should take place. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causes for your dryer to fail.

Maytag MDE8600AYW takes way too long drying clthes

either your house vent is plugged, or the vent in the dryer by the blower is plugged. when the vent is plugged, even partially, the moisture is not leaving the dryer. It will take a long time to dry, and the top of the dryer will get hot when the vent is plugged. Clean the house vent and check down below the lint trap by the blower, then it will dry fine again.

Dryer taking too long to dry clothes

Hello :)

Very common problem. You need to call a
duct cleaning company and tell them to clean
your dryer vent. Rule-of-thumb: dryer vents
should be cleaned every couple of years to
prevent them from being clogged with lint and
causing lint fires. This is definitely your problem.
Good luck :)

p.s. one way to verify a clogged vent is
to go outside where the vent exits the house
and feel the air-flow. should have adequate air-flow.

check for obstuction such as lint build up in the exhaust tube all the way out the house. Sounds like poor air flow

Back & top of dryer get hot, clothes take long time to dry.

First thing to check for is blocked airflow. Check the dryer as well as the venting from the back of the dryer to the outside of the house good airflow is neccessary. You could remove the venting from the back of the dryer and run a load to see if that helps. Do not leave it off as it is exhausting lint and if a gas dryer spent fuel.
