I want microsoft powerpoint for my windows vista
You will need to purchase microsoft power point then... it is not included with Windows Vista. If you want something similiar, for free, check out openoffice.org and you can download open office.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

sounds like soemthing has broken the file association with the files you are trying to open in explorer.
First of all, make sure it IS a powerpoint file you are trying to open.
second of all, there is a method in which you can try to recreate the file association:
1.) right click on the file you are trying to open and choose Open With -> Choose program
2.) if PowerPoint Viewer is in the list, click on it, make sure "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" is enabled, then press OK. the program will open and read the file. exit out of it and open the file again to test to see if this works.
If it isn;t on the "programs" list of the Open With Menu, you will have to find it. Click on "Browse", search for the program, select "open", make sure "always use the seelcted program" is checked off, and press OK. close the application thats starts and run again to test.
Hope this helps, alsthough this was posted a far ways back.

Was your computer pre-installed with Microsoft Office? If so, they in should already by installed.
Click start, and start typing out the word "powerpoint". If it's on your computer, it will come up as you type.
If you do not have it installed on your computer, you will need to purchase a copy of the latest version of Office to install. You can get it from various stores such as Futureshop or Business Depot.
Hope this helps! If it did, feel free to rate :)
