Broken lg bluay remote

Remote just stopped working. Changed batteries...no change. Help!

with lg this is normal and there is nothing you can do beside to take the set in for a exchange or repair service- I have an lg device or two that has the same issue, it is the players not the remotes. if i find a solution i will update you good luck questions just ask

It has to be setup with blu-ray by setup codes. If you wish to get more details, check this site. Pull up previous posts there. Setup code list and setup proceedings to many popular brand remote controls are given. Three digit, four digit, five digits and two-digit code list are there. Check the site with patience. Surely you'll get a solution to your problem. Search the site by 'Timeslide' option. It will make search easy. Or, type in the brand name to your device into its search box, and press "Enter."

Remote does not work
most of the time what is wrong with a remote is not that it is broken but theat is is dirty . clean it gently with alchol on q tips and clean the little light and on the receptor that light also so that they can communicate
hopeit helps ps dont leave any fuzz and use blow dryer to completely dry before reinserting the batteries (wipe their contacts good also ) hope it help :)

My remote control for my lg flat screen tv not working i changed the batteries and the light won't go on
Take the remote to any working radio, change radio band to SW, press various buttons of the remote and if you can listen to some clicking noise on the radio, the remote is ok. The problem might then be on the sensor and might need attention by a qualified service technician. You can also try switching off the TV, removing the plug and retry after 48 hours.

Let verify first if the remote is sending out signal, point the remote at your digital camera, you shoud see flashing light on your camera screen (camera can see infrared light) when any remote button is pushed, if you can see it, then the problem can be in the Infrared receiver in your TV and need further troubleshooting.

Can't turn tv on with remote, only manually, when on volume is at 100 and cannot be adjusted with remote or manually. channels cannot be changed with remote or manually. Changed batteries in remote,

Using a small test meter, check that you have 1.5v on each battery. Sounds like faulty batteries.

there is a lot of reason why your LG split unit would not work by remote control.
first likely trouble is the remote itself. it could have drop from a height and broke the remote, or corrosion has set inside the remote if you left an old battery for a long time and it could have broken it.

secondly which is not more likely to happen is the remote receiver in your unit got broke that is why it can not communicate with your remote controller. it could happen if someone has serviced your evaporator and could have disconnected wires to the receiver , or wires were just left not connected.

you can test the remote if you have an identical unit which is working with a working remote. use the working remote to your unit then you can decide.

i have a lg tv that did the same,lg came out and changed the mother board.worked for 3weeks and has started again.im lucky ive been offered a full refund. as i only had it 8weeks. this is a known fault to lg. if i were you i would call lg and kick up a fuss.try and get your money back or a free motherboard. as for me i wouldnt touch an lg item again. hope this has been some help
