Question about Panasonic Workio DP-2330 Printer
I have a unique problem. I HOPE that others have experienced it and found a solution.
When I try to print from TaxpPrep directly, the printout (the entire resulting page) is shrunk and printed into one quadrant of the page.
On the machine that has a problem, we are using Vista Ultimate.
So here is the problem....
1) It prints correctly from other machines that have Vista and Taxprep.
2) It prints correctly from other programs on that same machine.
3) TaxPrep print properly to other printers.
So it can't be the driver, because of #2
So it can't be the OS because of #1
So it can't be TaxPrep because of #3
The only work around we have is to print to PDF, and then print from there.
We are pulling our hair out. It is the only machine to experience this problem and we have reinstalled the OS, the Drivers and the program.
I really hope that SOMEONE has experienced this same problem.

SOURCE: Booklet printing
You're right, most do offer that option from the print driver. I would check Panasonic's web site to see if they offer a postscript driver, that may have booklet printing.

SOURCE: p2023 prints garbage with vista
Did you get the Vista driver for your machine from Panasonic? If not, it may not work. I use VM ware and run windows xp in virtual machine in order to use some of the older drivers.

The problem with dot matrix printers is that these are very old printers and you may not find a printer driver for them that run with Vista. If the incorrect printer driver is installed, the printer will print rubbish.
The only suggestion I can offer is to try various generic printer drivers until you find one that works. Connect it to the LPT1 printer port first and when you get it to work then set it up on the print server.
Also try Panasonic support and ask if they have a printer driver for this model printer that works with Vista.

SOURCE: I tried to print to
It has been a while since I've run across this but the printer you want to select is actually the Epson MX-80. That was the standard for narrow dot matrix printers. Panasonic equivalent was something like the KX-1180 but the Epson setting worked better.
And you will still have to adjust either the form layout or adjust the form template so the text ends up in about the right place. This is a pain to do but that is the only way if you have to use a dot matrix. Usually you only see these on multiple copy forms but most places have just changed to print multiple copies pages so I don't run across too many dot matrix printers these days.
