Light flashes and beeps 5 times then pauses over and over again. Try to get washer to finish cycle by turning to stop and then to rinse after rinsing same thing happens and still full of water. Turn to spin and this sometimes works other times end light flashes as before. If I leave turned off and then onto spin it finishes the cycle. As we try to use washing machine at night as on economy 7 this is difficult to achieve! Not convinced that clothes have been washed.
Sound very much like you have a blocked pump or a drainage block. If your machine outlet is connected to a push on spike under the sink, remove it and check Its not blocked. If that is clear CAREFULLY remove the filter cap, Usually on the bottom righthand side of the Machine. I say carefully because if there is water in the Machine it will pour out and flood so do it a bit at a time till its empty. Check the filter it may be clogged up, if it is thats your problem if not it needs further investigating. time to call the repair man. By the way whilst you may have economy 7 I would never advise putting your machine on at night and going to bed if anything should go wrong you are not there to switch off, Ive seen some real nasty stuff over the years where machines have gone rogue unattended, it really isn't a good idea although Thousands would disagree.

The error FH will stem from the drain pump operation and sometimes from the flow meter itself. The first thing to check is to drop the bottom panel and make sure the drain filter is clean. It sits right in front and just unscrews. Make sure to have enough towels on hand to soak up the water that is left in the tub. After you have checked this make sure both water valves are turned on, clear the error by pressing pause/cancel twice. Check to make sure the drain hose is not kinked and that there is no siphon problem.(Check your pump too now that you've opened up) If the error still returns after checking the above, the next thing to suspect is the flow meter itself. This sits right in line with the water inlet valves. It's just a reed valve that measures the amount of water entering the washer and monitors the pressure switch. You can access it by removing the top and it will be on the left side in line with the inlet valve. Look for holes in this tube, change if any.

Clogged pump stopped up drain. If the washer does not think all water was pumped out in 8 minutes then it shuts down. Slow drain is my first inclination.

This is usually caused by a bad lid switch. Whirlpools are known for lid switch issues. If the lid switch is not telling it that the lid is closed, it will not spin. Look where the lid switch is and press on the lid directly above it -- it may start. This will prove it. You can find an exploded view (and get the part) at www.appliancepartspros.com
