the power frequency (HZ) is less important , but the voltage is very important , voltage rating on tool has to match the voltage on your power outlet , or tool will quickly burn up .
loppers are similar to pruning shears, but a bit different. Loppers are used with both hands and have long handles. They are made for thick branches that pruning shears cannot cut.
Yes, you can do it with a hand file or if you need to sharpen them often I would suggest an electric sharpener. There are models you can mount to your chainsaw or remove your chain and use a bench mounted sharpener. I would suggest looking at www.sharpchain.com for your sharpening solutions.
A high quality bar and chain oil or SAE30 weight motor oil should be used for chain and bar lubrication.
The use of a vegetable based bar and chain oil is recommended when pruning trees. Never use waste oil or very thick oil. These may damage your chain saw.
- Before first use and every ten minutes of use you must oil the product with the recommended chain oil. Open the oiling cover and insert the bottle into the oil filling hole apply pressure to the bottle once to dispense oil.
- This should be adequate for about 10 minutes of cutting depending upon cutting speed and type of wood.
- The hole feeds the oil through to the chain onto the chain bar and an excessive amount of oil applied to the unit could mean the oil drips from the unit around the jaw area. This is normal and is nothing to be concerned about.
It's possible that one of the motor brushes may have been damaged--also check their spring tension. The battery may be charged, but have no capacity. You will need to measure the battery voltage directly when trying to start the motor. If it falls to zero, then you either have a poor connection at the battery, or it needs to be replaced (under warranty?). Hope this helps!
