Keyboard type 5187-5023
The ONLY place I've found the correct drivers of the "Easy Access Keys" on the Model KB-0133 Compaq/HP keyboard which was made for Windows 98SE, is over at this site. I WARN YOU STRONGLY TO WATCH WHAT YOU AGREE TO ON INSTALL! After that, it will install the HP SP22XXXX service package with the drivers. The options afterward are in the control panel under... you guessed it, "Easy Access Keys"
You have to install the drivers for that specific keyboard. Older ones may not be supported under the new operating systems. Go to the website...typically something like support.compaq.com, etc...

Go to your Start menu, Control Panel, then look for Keyboard. Sometime keyboard is listed by itself, other times it is under another device name. Click open keyboard, then click on the BUTTONS tab. You will see 5 "buttons or selection options: Calculator, E-Mail, Help, Search,Connect. Mine does not open the Club Q button ...that's what I am searching for at this time.
Skip the calculator one (once the others enable, this one fixes itself for some reason. I went to the e-mail button first. Double click it. Under choose a button capability: scroll down to the "Simple local file with label". Then go to the bottom "ADRRESS" area, delete what is there and put in your favorite web based e-amail addree login address. For yahoo.com it would be: Http://login.yahoo.com ...yahoo will switch you to their secure server don't worry. Do the same for any of te buttons you wish to change.
If the buttons do not show up at all, then you will need to upgrade your driver. HP has an upgrade for its multimedia keyboard, I am sure you can google yours and find it, even if Windows cannot do so.
You have to have the Calcultor chosen on your Windows setup for it to work, but it just pops up after you update the other buttons. If it doesn't. Its address on an XP os is: something like: c (whatver your hardrive is located)://windows/system32/calc.exe ... thing is it can be different for different systems.
Now to figure out how to use that 6th button, the Q Club one?
Good luck.
SOURCE: Special keyboard keys not working.
You need install or reinstall the driver software that came with the computer this keyboard was supplied with. Windows itself doesn't know what those keys do.
If you are still using that computer and you haven't erased the original factory software, the drivers should be in a directory somewhere on the hard drive. Compaq usually has a folder called "compaq" on the root (that is, it should be c:\compaq) and a folder in that called "drivers". This isn't always true, but the drivers you need should be in a similar folder somewhere.
If you don't have the drivers on the disk, you can download them from the HP/Compaq website, but you'll have to have the computer model number.

It says that the drivers for your keyboard is not installed...
you need to Install the drivers that came along with the Keyboard...
If it doesnt comes with a cd search in dell site and download the drivers...
This happens because, the default drivers for keyboard will be present in the database of windows, so you wont be facing any issues in using the keys...
But for using the special keys, u need to have drivers...
