Motor blew out and quit and I am wondering if there is a fuse or do I replace the machine?

How old? Motor brushes worn or motor commutator fault maybe?

Yes could be ..check the fuse in the plug first , then see if a Thermal cut off has taken place if so reset this ,if still dead then chance is the motor has gone , which is quite expensive to fix, you may be better with new machine....Good luck...

you drain pump is the problem,replace it as it is shorting out

How did you go with this? I now have the same problem.

There is no internal fuse in the washer to replace.
If you have replaced the fuse, make sure that is is a good one.
If you are satisfied that you have power to the washer, then I'm afraid it sounds quite serious.

it could be a shorted heating element a shorted to the case, motor start capacitor, or a defective motor ,f i would inspect the first two items closely

was this fuse for the a/c compressor or was it for the blower motor? did you replace fuse? did it blow out again? if blower motor fuse, blower motor may be dragging drawing excessive power, causing fuse to blow.

the rating, is that the same with the original one.?
try running with no load, maybe the motor got problem. if okay no load. try run with a little load. if still blow the fuse even no load test. Your problem is in the motor. Or monitor carefully when the fuse blew, is it when the motor run ccw or cw?

the power surge probably shorted out something in the main wire harness or fried your motor. remove the screws from the control panel and look for any wires that are discolored, charred or disconnected. in the event you do't find it there trace the wiring thru the cabinet looking for the same thing. if you don't find that, replace the motor

is it the motor that got hot?, if so then check the motor carbons for wear, as these heat up when worn, also if the carbons are fine check the pump and filters for blockages, this makes the motor spin while water is still in the machine causing the motor to overheat, and subsequently tripping and blowing the fuses etc hope i have helped a little
