Kenmore front loading washer - spinning problem

It didn't begin as a spinning problem. Originally it was a coin that had plugged the machine. I removed the front, disconnected the hoses found the coin and re-installed everything. The problem is apparently there are at least 2 yellow cylindrical foam pieces that somehow guide the drum when spinning. One is located in the right and side of the washer. This one has a electrical wiring probably to hold it in place that goes through the center and sits against the drum and the inside wall of the washer . The other fell out of place. I'm not sure where the other one sits, but without it the washer makes a lot of noice when spinning and the drum jumps around quite a bit. I believe that if I could get a picture of the washers inside then I could locate where the other part is located and put it back in place.

Kenmore 90 series washer won't drain and go to spin cycle

Take the power plug off the wall. Be prepared for a lot of water before attempting the following. It doesn't spin because the unit is not draining water. It will not spin with water in it - must drain first. Check drain hose for kink, check exit pipe for blockage. Remove the front access panel, bottom front, screws beneath; if you find a pipe there with a cap -this is for draining water. Could be your "coin trap assembly" is blocked, therefore not allowing all the water to pump out. Remove the clamp (or unscrew) that connects the trap assembly to the pump and clean it out.
If helped pl say so.

I have a Kenmore front load washer that will not spin all the water out of the clothes. After it finishes I have to run it through a rinse spin cycle and it does fine. The machine is only 14 months old

The first thing to check is probably the filter at the bottom of the machine. I'm not sure about this particular model, but the usual thing to do is to remove the machine's front lower panel - i.e. the panel at the front of the machine, closest to the floor.

You will probably find a little drawer or door, just a couple on inches in size. If you open it, you may find some lint, a couple of elastic bands, and enough coins to buy a beer. If so, it's the coins that are causing the problem! Take out all the stuff, close the little door, put the panel back on, and everything should run fine.

I hope that helps. Good luck!

Spinning to slow closes still wet

Hi, how are you?

I'm guessing you have a clogged pump and is preventing the machine to go into the final spin cycle. It's very common with these frontloaders.

You just need to take the bottom plate off (3 screws on the bottom) and open the coin trap and clean it out. It should be right in the front. Try that and let me know what happens.

Snaggs, If your model number begins with 417 it could be a couple of issues. Start with the drain pump. Remove the bottom panel and see if the pump is clogged with coins or debris. It will be on the right. Check the pump impeller. Have a bunch of towells handy as you will have a lot of water coming out at you. When you drop the bottom panel you will be able to see if the belt is on in back. If this does not clear up the problem, more than likley it will be in the motor control board. back.
