I have a portable water pump with a Honda engine that won't start

I have a portable water pump with a Honda engine. The On/Off switch is not working any more. How do I connect them without that switch or bypass the switch in other words? There are 3 wires connected to it, two black ones and a yellow one.

You should not bypass this switch but rather replace the switch bring the switch to electrical store and you can get a replacement for under $10 or sometimes u can find on at marina store or rv store

Washer will wash but won't spin after wash to finish load

Does the water drain after it finishes the wash before the spin is supposed to start? If yes then it can be that the timer is faulty or the spin windings in the motor have burnt out.Does the pump work at all when this has happened, or is the machine completely dead?Let me know please.I also need to know whether it's a digitaly controlled machine or works with a mechanical switch.

One common problem with Honda cars is the fuel pump relay.
I would check that first. Do you know if you have spark to the plugs when it won't start ?

Pump won't run

Did you figure this out yet? If not.

Did you check the onboard GFI breaker switch?
Did you make sure the water was connected and turned on?

Pressure washer won't start. It has gas, oil and I turned the switch to turtle and to rabbit position. Does it matter if water is on first or not? It won't start either way.

Turn the water on, hold trigger down and let water run thru the hose to prime the air out of the hose. If it still will not start check the spark plug and clean it or replace it. A bad spark plug will keep it from starting

Hi, Mlovern890 the ignition circuit cut-off system comprising of the side stand switch, clutch switch and neutral switch has the following functions:
a. It prevents starting when the transmission is in gear and the side stand is up, but the clutch lever is not pulled.
b. It prevents starting when the transmission is in gear and the clutch lever is pulled, but the side stand is still down.
c. It cuts the running engine when the transmission is in gear and the side stand is moved down.
Periodically check the operation of the ignition circuit cut-off system according to the following tests.
With the engine turned off:
1. Move the side stand down.
2. Make sure that the engine stop switch is set to "RUN"
3. Turn the key to "ON".
4. Shift the transmission into the neutral position.
5. Push the start switch if the engine does not start the neutral switch may be faulty.
With the engine still running:
6. Move the side stand up.
7. Keep the clutch lever pulled.
8. Shift the transmission into gear.
9. Move the side stand down if the engine does not stall you may have a faulty side stand switch.
After the engine has stalled:
10. Move the side stand up.
11. Keep the clutch lever pulled.
12. Push the start switch if the engine does not start you may have a faulty clutch switch.
This check is most reliable if performed with a warmed-up engine.

Doesnt build pressure up ,it just runs right without pressure does the compressor require being oiled?

HELLO THERE:
Here is some troubleshooting tips for you and a web link for you ok this should help
best regards michael
Troubleshooting Your Pressure Washer troubleshooting_pressurewasher.jpg General points to check if a problem occurs
  • Are the engine and fuel switches in the “ON” position?
  • When troubleshooting, always check oil and gas levels.
  • The oil for the pump is a 30W non-detergent mineral oil. Do Not fill over halfway on the sight glass.
  • Is the water tap open?
  • Check the choke and throttle levers.
  • Is the correct nozzle in the lance? Is the nozzle plugged?
  • Only the black nozzle is for soaping at low pressure.
  • Is the water-inlet screen clogged?
  • Hold the gun trigger open while pull starting the engine.
  • Check for O-rings in the lance and quick couplers.
  • Has the unit tipped over? Close the fuel switch and keep pull starting the engine until the excess fuel is burnt up, then open the fuel valve and try again. Some engines will need to be primed every time they are started.
  • Make sure the engine is turned off after each use. It should not be left running without use for longer than 2 minutes as the pump can overheat.
Are you experiencing low pressure?
  • Is there an air leak?
  • Dirty pump valves?
  • Check for worn pump valves or broken valve springs.
  • Check for a worn out spray nozzle.
  • Check for leaks in your plumping or hoses.
  • Troubleshoot your nozzle, is it turned to the highest pressure setting?
  • Is the unloader improperly set?
  • Are the engine RPMs too low?
  • Check if your water supply is sufficient.
  • Check if your engine is getting enough power.
Trouble with high vibrations
  • Dirty pump valves?
  • Do you have a sufficient water supply?
  • Is there are in your water supply?
  • Is the inlet water filter clogged?
  • Clogged or damaged spray nozzle?
  • Make sure it has the correct fuel
  • Has the choke been left on after the engine has warmed up?
If the engine won’t start
  • When troubleshooting the engine, check if it's low on fuel or oil?
  • Worn or dirty spark plugs?
  • Is the switch in the off position?
  • Is the fuel valve in the off position?
  • Is the engine flooded from over choking?
  • When cold starting, was the engine properly choked?
If the starter is hard to pull
  • Low oil in the crankcase or pump assembly.
  • Oil or fuel in cylinders (hydro locked).
  • Pressure built up in the system, relieve this by squeezing the trigger.
