The solution provided is harder then it needs to be. Where the nail gun handle attachs to the nail magazine there are 2 bolts. Remove these bolts and the nail magazine slides right out and you can get to the jammed nail. It still took some effort on my part to get the nail out but this was a lot easier then removing the 4 bolts previously suggested.

Hi,
Take the bottom 4 bolts off the nose. And it will pull away from magazine. So you can remove jammed nails.

Thanks,
Jeff

    Hi,

This would be the 4 bolts that bolt the nose piece to the body of the tool on the bottom. Flip the tool upsidedown and you`ll see them. Do you need a schematic?

    Regards,

    Jeff

What degree nails are used in stanley bostitch n60fn nail gun

I've repaired many nail guns and I can tell you the Stanley Bostitch N60FN uses 15 guage nails from 1 1/4" to 2 1/2" long in the FN1500 series of Bostitch nails. Nowhere does SB or any of their aftermarket dealers list what the angle of the nails is. I do know most of the SB nail guns that come through for repairs are because of damage to them from using other than SB series nails.

How to load bostitch sb1664fn nail gun

Push on the button on the rear of the tool to open the magazine. Pull the magazine back. Load nails in the stationary part of the magazine with the heads of the nails at the top of the magazine. Push the sliding section of the magazine back into place making sure it latches.

BOSTITCH T31-1 stapler & T31-2 STAPLER and NAILER. Both use 18 gauge (very fine gauge wire). Try using 18 gauge Bostitch staples (used in BT model bostitch staplers). Good Luck

I bought a used Bostitch nail gun. Model/serial # N6408406208021. What parts do I change to go from a 1 1/2 inch nail (approx. #6) to a 3 inch nail (approx. #16)? Where do I get the parts?

I do not think that the n64 will take a 3" nail. N64 will most likely fit a 2 or 2 1/2 inch. To verify the length of nail open latch door and measure the width of the slot into the barrel. Take a look at the bostitch n80 series of nailers for more power and longer nail.

The driver on my Bostitch nail gun won't retract

This is usually caused by either a lack of lubrication or a defect in one of the seals. If hte nailgun has been uised a lot, purchase an O-Ring kit and replace all of the O-rings. That should resolve the problem. I believe that these kits are available for around $20-$30.

I have a SB-1850BN Bostitch finish nailer that no longer shoots nails. I think it may be a o-ring in the cylinder but not sure. Is there an easy fix for this situation?

Generally speaking an O-ring kit will resolve this type of problem. Check with your local lumber yards that sell Bostitch products. They may have a Bostich Day at which, for a purchase of nails or some other Bostitch product, the manufacturer will give up to 2 tools a quick overhaul including replacing the O-rings.

My Bostitch SB 2in1 nailer will only on occation nail all the way into the wood. For the most part the nail will bend over before it goes in, which damages the wood. I spend more time tying to pull out...

I ran into this problem many times. Don`t use the Bostitch brand nails. Use the generic or other name brand. You`ll notice the generic one`s heads are just a little bigger and the driver blade won`t run down the side of the nail!
