This sounds like a short circuit or motor problem. They are relatively easy to take apart. If you see a burned wire or connector this can be repaired. If not, it is the motor and probably too expensive to repair considering the price of a new one.

Whilst using my karcher it suddenly flashed very brightly in the case and then went bang and i could smell smoke is it worth trying to repair

You could try taking the cover off and check if it is just a wire come loose and touched something, i have in the past bypassed the on/off switch when it has sparked and blown.

The amber RM10 and RM11 light is flashing on my karcher 7/10

Regarding this model, I am not that informed. But similar machines, it is an indication of water softener warning lights. If it is a fuel problem and machine is full of fuel, then the fuel level sender, is faulty.

Karcher wont start

there is a pressure switch in those machines that goes bad. it is a common problem. if its under warranty let them work on it. if not take it apart and you will see the problem. it is replaceable and you can do it.

My karcher 645 has three lights on the right side of the control panel. The bottom one that looks like a heater temprature warning light keep flashing when im using the machine. Is this normal or do i have...

I'm not a karcher dealer, but I'll comment. I'm assuming you've misplaced your owner's manual -- so the only way you'll know for sure is to contact or a dealer.

That said, I'm pretty sure your blinking light is just bells and whistles kind of stuff. It most likely is a reminder that its time to change the diesel filter. Which means it has some "re-set" procedure. I just wouldn't worry about it.

Stops mid cycle. Light flashes, cant get it to move on so have to start all over again

Hi there.
I have the same problem with my machine. Whatever program I select, the machine runs fine until it reaches 54 mins of the cycle remaining. To overcome the problem just to select a cycle that will not stop mid cycle, select a program which is less than 54 mins. I think the 40 degrees and quick wash select is the one to run with. The cycle is 45 mins, obviously less that 54 mins. The LED timer will display the cycle time. No problems with this cycle whatsoever. Not the total solution, but at least you're able to complete a cycle. After it's completed, I also run the spin program at 1200rpm. I hope this helps.
Regards, Ian.

Smoking after start up

If it's the org. engine it will has over 160,000 miles on it.
It's normal to has valve stem seal/oil seal on the head to leak oil into the cyclinder on high mileage engine.

The smoke you see is the motor oil drop from the valve stem seals. The oil drops land on the top of the cyclinders and it create black smoke at start up.

The inexpensive fix is to start using high mileage oil with seal conditioner.
This will help soften the rubber seals and help reduce internal oil leak.

The correct fix is to wait until it's time for a head gasket replacement and let the professional CRC/service the head.

Complete head service is the only method to stop this internal oil drip problem.

Metz 45 CT 1

I had that same problem also, but mines was temporarly. Ik think the condensor inside the Metz has to regeneratie (recover) itself by using with a full charged fresh batteries. The high freq. sound is normal. (although not to loud) after a 5 MINUTES the orange bulb should light up. How more u used how better the start-up time. My old Metz start-up time was around 40 sec. and now ot is within 7 sec.
