Question about Heating & Cooling

Our air conditioner unit makes a tremendous amount

Our Ruud air conditioning unit makes a tremendous amount of noise. It works but the neighbors are complaining about living next to a power plant. I fairly sure the unit is original with the house, about 15 yrs old. This noise is as loud as a lawn mower and is continuous while the unit is running.

Central air conditioning system is blowing warm air.

many, many. Is the outside unit running? If it is, is the compressor running? Feel the refrigerant lines leaving the unit. Little one should be warm. Big one should be cold, probably sweating.

I am trying to find a parts list for a RUUD UAKA-030JAZ air conditioning unit (specifically the compressor/condensor contactor).

RUUD will only sell there factory parts to certified contractors. My advice to you is to find a local HVAC parts distibutor that will sell you generaric parts which will work just as good as the factory parts.

Ruud air condition

You must be kidding. You want a video?

If the filter is in the air handler, it is in the bottom. Often filters are not in the units themselves, but in the main return grill in the ceiling. But if it is in the unit then:

Turn the unit off at the thermostat. (That way the fan is not sucking the filter up,) Then take the bottom door off. It is a small door and a pain, but you can do it. Pull out the filter. It is a washable black plastic framed thing. Then wash it and put it back in. Then make sure to put the door back on and turn the thermostat back on.

Its a ruud air conditioning unit manafacture year is 1990. It won't come on at all.

if you dont know what you are doing it is best to call a professional. you could damage the equipment or get yourself electrocuted.ask your neighbors who they use.It could be a simple problem or major, hard to say without looking at the unit. Most common problems are simple repairs such as blown fuses, bad contactors/capacitors and are not that costly.

I have Onida split AC but in night it is making lot of sound. I am not able to sigh any reason any help in this regards would be appreciated Regards, ashutosh

It might be making equal noise in the day too and you are not able to notice it due to the already existing noise polution during the day.

This is exactly like you could watch the stars on the sky during day time too sitting inside a deep well.

Please check the padding on the compressor bottom and ensure that the compressor is fixed without any chance of moving while in running condition.

Please check whether the compressor is grounded and you get a shock when you touch the AC unit. Please ensure that the earth is connected properly.

If the compressor is defective and the inside springs are also not in original tight condition the unit will make noise even if there is cooling.

New 14 seer split ruud heat pump makes very loud knocking noise

Well you may want to have a tech come out and check the freon level, but mostly when going into defrost, some units make alot of noise, the freon is reversed in the unit by way of the reversing valve, it makes a whooshing sound like freon is draining off, as far as the knocking noise, could be as I said in the beginning, might be low on freon, but it could be that, this particular unit does this, I have had units make some really strange noises in the past but functioned perfectly, hope this helped, please let us know, thanks again,

Ruud air conditioner unit

sounds like you have a fan blade out of balance or one that is bent which when the unit winds down it becomes out of balance use a straight edge across the blades to see if any are bent.
