Check to make sure the quantity button has not been reprogrammed. To do so, push and hold the coffee button until coffee flows through. Also be sure to check the brew-unit. In some cases if the b-unit is plugged, it will not allow water to flow through. Also check to be sure you are not grinding too fine, if coffee is too fine it too will plug the chamber...........Hope it helps.

Check the end of the steam nozzle, make sure it is not blocked. If not then with the knob open for hot water cycle push in on the knob if that works then the tap rod assemble or the steam valve needs to be replaced.
Descaling or boiler problem doesn't seem to be your issue as your single boiler is both used to make hot water and coffee. As the hot water is working fine we should concentrate on the brewer unit blockage ( give it a good clean and remove Brewer screen or screens and un block dirty clogged holes ). Then if problem still exists make sure you are not grinding your coffee too thin ( will cause blockage and machine lockup ) if this is the case. I have also come across customers who for some strange reason turned off their machines before it could finish the coffee dumping cycle and leaving it for a while ( left over coffee goes hard and cloggs ). Hope this helps.
Before you press water button to vent you need to restore to factory settings.
First press menu (far right button) then toggle to restore factory settings (using far left button), press menu button then far right again until yes comes up, then press menu button. Press esc button (3rd from left), machine should now be back to normal. Then press water button (3rd from right) and turn steam knob to vent until free water is coming through.
