Question about Sony VAIO FRV26 Notebook
If you have removed the drive from the Motherboard, then try re-seating the hard drive. (Please note that Sony does not recommend the end-user doing any hard drive upgrade/replacement). If the drive is not spinning up, you may have an electrical contacts problem where the drive pins engage the connector on Motherboard. In which case, you may try sliding it in part-way and if it boots up, you can re-do the backets (drill new holes) to attach it to the connector in the new position. Otherwise, short of replacing the connector (difficult due to double sided PCB), you may need to replace the Motherboard.
