Question about Samsung DVD-HR735 DVD Recorder/HDD Recorder

Fan doesn't turn off in standby

Hi everyone

I have recently bought a used (6 month old) Samsung DVD-HR735 but have noticed a wierd issue with the fan not turning off when I put the unit into standby. According to the manual (and common sense), the fan should only run while the recorder is switched on. It continues to run for hours afterwards. However, if I unplug the mains power from the unit and reconnect it, it'll go into standby with the fan off until I turn it on and off again next time.

Please help me with this issue. Is there a fix, is this normal behaviour, or should I return it to the guy I bought it from?

My samsung dvd hr753 will not tune to stations? Our region recently switched to digital so we no longer have analogue signals. Could this be the problem?

Yes this is your problem that you no longer receive an Analogue Signal.

This unit doesn't contain a Digital Freeview Tuner so you will need to purchase some sort of External Digital Freeview Box to connect to this unit to enable you to continue recording on it.

Delonghi Floor heater

As its only 6 months old it should be covered by the warranty, you should be able to get it repaired by your dealer, with no cost to you.

Fan on outside unit will not turn on, will run once you give it a spin with a screwdriver however will not turn on by itself. Changed the fan and the capacitor both out with new ones, i am baffled!

That is wierd. If the fan and capacitor is the same as the old one. Although I'm thinking of capacitor issue, you should take out the fan and capacitor and test it.

I hope this helps.

Problem with overheating.

Hi Dear. Always Pick n Place notebooks very carefully. When need to pick with both hands you can pick it in any direction but when need to pick with single hand, always use vertical position, without pressing and forcing any area. Place it on any flat surface where you are sure that exhaust system of CPU's fan is well ventilated. Heating problem may occure due to many reasons. Verify CPU fan function in BIOS, Clean CPU cooling fan and exhaust system with Electric Blower. NEVER use continuous charging, plug out charger wire when battry is 100% full, charg again when low battry alerts. This will increase battry life & backup time.

Won't Read blank disc!!

I my DVD-HR735 wont recognise any discs at times, and is getting worse. I've now discovered (out of frustration) that if I tip the front up to between 30-45 degrees, it will play all the discs it says were unreadable. I've started jamming three dvd boxes under the front of the machine when i want to play dvds.
