Just stop working. seems as if no electric power is reaching wherever it is suppose to. Iron is about 2 years old.

Hi,
Those types of problems are usually one of two things... the cord where is enters the iron, the wires are broken. Or the thermostat has gone bad...
The iron will need to be taken apart and the wiring checked witha meter to find the problem for sure...

I have a Bosch Sensixx Comfort Power iron. Not had a lot of use as I live alone! One day it worked perfectly the next time I went to use it didnt work. Checked fuse.

check Ac cord for bad contact, more caused cutoff wire inside the cord, then try, if not ok,, try to check wiring inside the unit for loss connections.

Euro Pro Irons: Less than a year old stop heating up.

hello,

some time no part of our property go bad but what will need is to service them from there dysfunction

the problem of your iron could be from the element and the wire ,the element is the heat provider while the wire is the power supply from the electric

But the fact is that ,the problem of your iron is disconnection of element from the wire what you need to do fix it to unscrew your iron and trace the wire down to the element and see the disconnection am toking about and fix it back

thank you and thanks for using fixya.

Iron just stopped working, no lights, no heat no iron Opened back panel to make sure no loose wires or damage inside. The inside still looks bran new and the wire cap connectors are intact. Iron may be 2-3...

check plug fuse, if ok, check continuity of the live, neutral and earth conductors for a break. if ok, element may be faulty. Any smell of carbon burning?

The iron will not turn on or light up. It is not the cord.

There should be screws in the back where the cord is inserted, remove these screws. Now you should see the cord, check to make sure the wires are connected, both the ground and hot wire. If all wires are ok, then check the on/safety shutoff switch for damage with a voltmeter.

Damaged plug, cable or even the element inside the iron. It may be cheaper to buy a new one from wallmart or similar store.

any steam iron more than a few years old...usually isn't worth repairing.  Just buy a new one.
