Bluetooth connection problem with Motorola v3x

I have a v3x and a Vodafone vbh-300 bluetooth headset. I have been using them for months. Beginning from yesterday, my headset failed to connect to my v3x. The symptom is that when I turn on my headset, the v3x connects to it briefly and immediately disconnect again.

I have tried to delete the headset device from my bluetooth setting in v3x and pair them again from scratch again. But the problem still exists.

Any solution to this weird problem?

I somehow solved my own problem, but I had a long story on that because I had tried out many things before I could solve the problem.

First, I had re-installed the software of the V3X using the software downloaded by Motorola. The outcome was that it did not work.

Then I tried to connect my bluetooth headset to another phone, and it functioned properly. So, at that time, I thought that my bluetooth headset was not malfunctioning.

Then, I took my phone to the Motorola service centre to ask for solution. At the centre, my phone was able to connect another bluetooth headset. So, the service centre staff told me that he could not help because there was no problem with the bluetooth in my phone. He further told me that he had known similar incident before, and he thought that there might be some internal connection setting between the phone and bluetooth headset being memorised by either the phone or the headset that cause the problem.

With that in mind, I desperately tried another and final test. I discharged the battery of my headset until there is no more power, recharged it, deleted the headset from the found device in my phone, re-discovered the device with my phone and paired them again. And bingo! The problem was solved.

My blackberry bold phone does not locate my Plantronics VBH-300 bluetooth headset whilst trying to pair them. It was paired with a previous nokia phone, which I no longer have.

Hi,you will have to delete the previous paired phones first before you can be able to pair the blackberry phone with your blue tooth device.

You can use the below steps to know how to pair properly:

Instructions

Pair Your Blackberry with a Bluetooth Headset

Turn on Bluetooth headset and Blackberry hand-held.

Enable the Bluetooth radio by going to the options window and clicking on Bluetooth. Click on Enable Bluetooth in that window.

Add your Bluetooth headset to your Blackberry by clicking on Add Device in the Bluetooth window.

Find and select the name of your Bluetooth headset from the list that appears. The Blackberry will search for all Bluetooth devices within range, so other devices might show up on the list.

Click Activate Bluetooth device if you receive a call and the Bluetooth headset does not pick up automatically.

Use your Bluetooth Headset with your Blackberry

Make sure the Bluetooth radio on your Blackberry is turned on before you try to use your Bluetooth headset.

Use the voice-dial feature to call contacts if your headset has that capability. Not all headsets support voice dialing, but more of the newer models do.

Press the on/off button on your headset to end a call or use the end button on the handheld.

Tips & Warnings

Pair your Blackberry with any Bluetooth-enabled device using the same steps as those for connecting a Bluetooth headset.

Remove your Bluetooth headset from the list of paired devices on your Blackberry by selecting and clicking on Delete Device in the Bluetooth window.

Configure your Blackberry to connect to a paired Bluetooth headset without asking for authorization in the Bluetooth Device Properties window. That will allow your headset to automatically reconnect even if you take it out of range temporarily.

Only configure a Bluetooth headset to your Blackberry once. Once you configure the pairing between the two devices, the settings are saved and you do not have to repeat the processes each time you use it.

Turn off the Bluetooth radio on your Blackberry when not in use for security reasons.

Adjust volume on your headset or hand-held to a comfortable level. Excess volume from in-the-ear headsets can cause hearing damage.

Hope it helped.

Motorola H500 and a motorola v3x phone searches and finds headset but won't connect

1.Press and hold the Multifunction button in the middle of a boom headset while the headset is closed. The light will glow blue.2.Open the boom microphone and the blue light should remain on. If not, repeat step 1.
3.On the cell phone, press Menu > Settings > Connection > Bluetooth > Handsfree > New Device
4.Select H500 once a connection is detected.
5.The passkey "0000" is now entered to confirm the connection has been made.
6.The cell phone screen will now read "Bluetooth Connection".

Tips:
1.Provided you set the Bluetooth power to "On" after the initial connection has been made, the phone will automatically re-connect to the headset.
2.To set the Bluetooth power on - Press Menu, Select Settings, then Connections, then Bluetooth link, scroll to Setup and select that. Scroll to Power and chose Change. Scroll to On and press Select. The screen should now read "Changed: Power On".
3.Test Your Connection: Close the headset and watch for cell phone to say "Disconnected". Re-open the headset and the phone should be connected automatically and will now display "Bluetooth Connected".

please give good rating if the solution works.

What are you trying to send? Picture, video, ringtone, app?
For a ringtone, go to the Media Finder, select ringtones, then "All Ringtones" and scroll to the one you want to send. Hit "options" and scroll to the option "Send"
Select "Send" and one option should be "send Via Bluetooth"

The process should be similar for other sendable items.

Plantronics sold under Vodafone: VBH-300

Try going through the plantronics website for a replacement. My 590's date code was within warranty and I ended up replacing it TWICE. The one I have now has a different date code and seems to work fine now. I surmise that the charging problem may have to do with bad voltage regulation and extreme sensitivity in their electronics.

I loose BT connection after one song

Does the motorola headset make decending tones when it disconnects? If it does, you are listening to your music using the Headset bluetooth profile rather than the High quality audio one. You will need to change the way the device is paired to the phone. Try pairing it as bluetooth headphones or bluetooth high quality audio, rather than a bluetooth headset. Once you have done that, you can pair it as a bluetooth headset too, as the motorola headset connects to 2 bluetooth devices, or in this case, one device, with two profiles. To use the headset profile, press the left M symbol once, and the headset will play a sound to indicate connection as a headset. If you press it again, it will revert to High Quality Audio profile, and you can listen to your music, and even skip/pause it!
