it only need to indicate WMA or MP3 when its playing in that format. depending on how old the head unit is... most head units sold after the new ISO-9001 Standards need to display any and all specs http://www.iso.org/iso/about/the_iso_story.htm
try burning a data copy first to see if the head unit can search through the folders... if it wont search or do anything at all... its .wave (cd)
if the display reads unsupported format and continues to search....it does play mp3/wma
to get the mp3/wma files to play, change the settings in the burner program. (try default settings)
..... it takes time to render a nice mp3 disc from scratch, one its working, its really rewarding... 18-20 songs just isnt enough anymore.... try to use 320kbps mp3's as much as you can... anything lower will make ant car stereo sound like a 10 dollar alarm clock... keep the bit-rate high when it comes to music... your ears will last longer too...
