No it is not ADSL 2+ compatible sorry! only ADSL but there is a lot of cheap ADSL2+ routers that work really well.

GLB-802C new firmware

Usually you can login on your browser to you router and go to the management section to check for firmware updates and select that button and it will download and install the firmware. On some models, you have to go to the D-link web site and look for firmware updates for your router. Always check what you current firmware you have installed and check the version of you router modem (A, B, C etc). Then you can manually download the firmware (usually in a ZIP file), open the zip file, and then using your browser connected to the router look for Update Firmware. You will have to go to where (folder) you saved the downloaded update and select that file. It is recommended that you update using a LAN connection and not a wireless connection.

My Router is of Dlink GLB-802C. It frequently hangs out and does not help in connecting the internet but if a file is getting downloaded then the download continues as it is. This problem is form 3...

Try to upgrade the firmware of the router. Firmware is the software of the router.
Download the latest firmware of the router. Go to the manufacturer's web site and download the firmware of the router.
Open the set up page of the router and upgrade the firmware of the router. Once you upgrade the firmware of the router, reset the router.
On the router you will find a small reset button, hold it down for 30 seconds. release it. wait for 1 minute. Now unplug the power to the router and plug it back in.
Now you will need to reconfigure the router according to the Internet service provider.

Compatibility with high speed ADSL2 Broadband

Yes, Linksys WRT160N is 100% compatible with ADSL2. Linksys WRT160N is a Broadband router.

you will not be able to use the linksys WRT160N, as an ADSL2 modem router. you should be using an ADSL2 Modem separately and connect the cable from the modem to the Linksys WRT160N. Hope this clarify the doubt.

Very Slow internet. I used to use the D-Link DI-704P router for a cable internet connection. I have moved houses and I am now using ADSL2 . I would like to know how to configure the router to suit ADSL2 ,...

I would go to the manufacturers website. I had a linkysys router that was hard as hell to use with my dsl connection. CAble worked fine. There is a great program called Cablenut that you can download for free that will adjust your registry settings which may be your problem in the first place. Make sure you restart.
