Dell laptop when i hook my dell latitude d610 to my tv i get sound but no picture

you need to right click on your laptop wallpaper and click personalize it may say display or you can go to the control panel and search change display once your there you should see to screens with the numbers 1,2 just drag the 2 into the 1 spot and that should take care of it you computer screen will just show wallpaper and the tv will have the icons when your done drag the 1 back into its spot.

Did you remember to plug the video cable back into the motherboard? [round cable with plug on end]

depending on what type of ports you have on you pc svideo hdmi?

get the appropriate cable making sure your tv also supports that input and plug them in change the resolution on your computer to match that of your tv

It is possible that your laptop drives EITHER its own display OR an extrnal monitor such as your TV. Look for a Screen Swap key on the laptop keyboard. It is usually a "Fn" key and requires you to hold down the "Fn" (Function) key whilst you tap the screen swap key. This key usually has a small picture of two screens seperated by a / . You will then be presented with all the drivers for your D610.
Download the Sigmatel driver in the Audio section.
Save the file then run to install the driver.

there is a inverter in LCd that makes your lcd bright white shine. when it breaks down you see black screen. something happens on lcd you cant see clearly  you should go to service and need to be changed INVERTER.

You must have the "Digital Audio" box checked in the audio properties.

In the BIOS, does it show the battery and it's current state? As weird as it sounds, I've fixed an issue like this on a D600 by updating the BIOS to the most current level. Weird, but true.
